The landscape is dominated by pseudosteppe, a man made ecosystem which results from the extensive cultivation of dry cereal crops, in rotation with fallow periods where the land is used as pasture for livestock. The trail crosses Barranco das Nogueiras, a temporary creek that dries the entire summer. In the beginning of the trail we can find a placard with the map and other useful information. In the Centro de Educação Ambiental do Vale Gonçalinho you can find more information about the ecological importance and the biodiversity of this area. Autoria Tagis + MUHNAC
