Pico AltoMunicipality Silves
Extension 1,5 km Initial coordinate 37°15'44.56"N; 8°13'42.89"W How to get there? The best reference is the Pico Alto Wind Farm, with a series of turbines in the top of the hill, which we can see from a great distance in a latitude close to the one of S. Bartolomeu de Messines. Short description Pico Alto Biodiversity Station belongs to the Natura 2000 Barrocal site, a type of landscape located between the coastline and the mountains, with mostly limestone soil. The Station begins in the Pico Alto Interpretation Centre, managed by Almargem. The trail is dominated by Mediterranean bushes and it ends in the wind farm. Authorship Tagis + MUHNAC
